That Ford has embarked on a whistle-stop tour of Europe’s major cities to showcase

some of the company’s award-winning safety technologies to selected media and bloggers?

New Focus is the hero of The Future of Safety Tour, which will visit 15 countries in just

13 weeks, demonstrating driver assistance technologies such as Active City Stop, Blind Spot Information System and Active Park Assist.

Ford has specially prepared two trucks to get the show on the road. Each vehicle is kitted out with interactive show-stand features plus on-board screens to explain how Ford’s technologies work. And at each venue, there are key Ford spokespeople on hand to answer questions from journalists and bloggers.

The Future of Safety Tour kicked off mid-June and finishes in early September, by which time it will have travelled as far north as Edinburgh in Scotland, as far east as Istanbul in Turkey and at its most westward point stopping at Lisbon, Portugal.
